Mellow Woods

In this return to the birch tree topic, I wanted to explore a more mellow side to autumn colours, combined with a moody sky, and reflections in a rain puddle. I find the overall effect very peaceful, a pleasant reminder of countryside walks with my family and my dog Penny. :)

I also really enjoyed playing with impasto in expressing the surprising variety of colours you can find on birch tree trunks.
