A close up of Echinacea Enchantment, by Aleksandra Girman

Echinacea Enchantment

76 x 76cm Impasto Oil on Canvas

Sold

For a while now, I've been meaning to attempt painting echinacea flowers, given their simple yet beautiful colouring and unique shape. And here is the result of my first attempt! :)

I added the dramatic, evening sky because I felt it would harmonize well with the colours of the flowers, creating a warm, enchanting atmosphere. I hope you agree.

As you can (hopefully!) see from the photos, I added my usual touches of impasto, although I kept them more subtle this time, to preserve the calmness and balance in the composition, and an effect of somewhere where you can lose yourself.

Size: 76 x 76cm (30 x 30inch)

Materials: High-quality Old Holland oil pigments, Winsor & Newton oil color medium, and a deep edge cotton canvas.
