Each time I walk along the river Cam (which is fairly often, given my son rows there several times per week!), I find some new inspiration for painting.​

This scene is one from beyond the lock North of Cambridge, on the way to Waterbeach. I really like this part of the river - it's quieter than the part closer to Cambridge, and there are so many beautiful, often rustic-looking riverboats boats along its banks. :)

Size: 40 x 30cm
Materials: High-quality Old Holland oil pigments, Winsor & Newton oil colour medium and impasto, on a mounted, bleached cotton canvas, 3.8cm deep, framed in a pinewood frame.
