Aleksandra Girman's Bio

Currently living and working in Cambridge (UK), Aleksandra's painting is primarily focused on nature and landscapes, executed in oil on canvas.

 

Her subjects tend to be inspired by places she visited, while out walking with her family and dog, both locally as well as more further afield.

 

She has been exploring the impasto technique over the last couple of years, creating expressionist foregrounds in combination with more traditional, romantic skies and distant landscapes.

While attending high school in Poland (Sylesia), Aleksandra trained with a professional abstract painter and university art lecturer, Elzbieta Kuraj. During those early years, she won numerous regional and national Christian-themed art competitions.

 

Aleksandra immigrated to the UK in 2005 and life kept her from painting until 2018, when she finally rediscovered her passion for it.
